DISTINCTIVE FEATURES OF SVIST
> Sree Vahini is located in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh and is bordered by the State of Telangana on three sides.
> We celebrate Ganesh Chathurdhi, Christmas and Ramzan etc every year in the campus to promote religious harmony among the students and faculties.
> Inclusion of Library hour within the class time table to inculcate the habit of referring standard text books and international journals etc. Students utilize this hour to search for information on topics covered in the classrooms.
> Separate hostel buildings for Boys and Girls with combination all sectors (Govt paid fee and individually paid fee students) to promote the social harmony among the students.
> We operate college bus facility to the extreme rural areas, where no public transport is available.
> We have students from all the districts of Andhra Pradesh studying in our campus.
> We are the only college located in Tiruvuru Assembly constituency. Tiruvuru is a reserved constituency. We are here to promote higher education to the rural youth.
> National Anthem is sung every day at the end day of the last period. This practice is usually left after school or after +2. We at SVIST adhere to principles of the Indian Constitution.
> College uniform is maintained to show uniformity among all students irrespective of caste, creed and religion. However, every Friday is an exception to college uniform. Friday being an auspicious day for all religions, we allow students to come in civil/traditional wear and thus respect and promote religious sentiments.
> We have been giving free training in technical labs for the students who are studying vocational courses, such as Automobile technician, Electrical Engg., Electronics Engg., etc., in Govt. Jr. Colleges in Tiruvuru and Vissannapet.
> In line with the University theme song, SVIST has a unique theme song. Our theme song reflects our achievements and our vision for future.
> Vanabhojanalu and garden parties are organized annually wherein family members of both staff and management take off time from regular class work/managerial duties to gather at one place. We arrange cultural activities for kids, staff and management and their families. This helps in developing social bonding and enhances belongingness.
> College has been given as 100 beds Quarantine Centre and Covid isolation centre for the entire constituency.
> College was given as the counting centre for the Parishad elections like MPTC, ZPTC etc., for four mandals.
> We have offered our A.C. seminar hall freely to the Govt. Training programs like Election officer training, Postal meetings, Telephone regional meetings etc.,
> Kattaleru, the rivelet of River Krishna flows on the north eastern side of our college which adds beauty to the campus. From vaastu point of view as well it is a good sign to have water flowing in the north eastern side.
> Our college is located in one of the extreme ends of Tiruvuru. With the presence of our college in this location which was once a waste land, today, has given scope for real estate, housing and has also become a source of income to many in this area. A fully developed township has come up, giving this area a city like look.
